Study is no longer serving for examination, which also needs to culture study ability of students; Study is no longer limiting on training students’ problems solving ability, which also needs to build up wider thinking, investigating, and creative space for students. (Education Bureau, 2007)

Metacognition is the core for learning how to study while possessing motivational beliefs is the fundamental of study. Therefore, we committed to guiding students to study with motivational beliefs and understand Metacognition strategy. Finally, students can apply the learned knowledge suitably and absorb new knowledge continuously in a different situation.
元認知是學會學習的核心,然而擁有動機是一切學習的基礎。所以,我們致力於從引導學生有動機去學習,到理解元認知策略,最後在不同情況下,將所學知識活學活用且能夠不斷吸收新的知識。

Teachers should equip with the teaching techniques of Metacognition that they are not only acting as the traditional 'knowledge teaching' role but also act as the 'study fostering' role, by igniting students on self-questioning, self-examination and evaluation through the study process.
老師應該具備元認知的教學技巧,不僅僅是傳統的「知識傳授者」角色,也變為「學習的促進者」,幫助學生在學習過程中激發他們不斷自我提問、反思及評估。
